What Christmas lights cost in Clear Lake

Clear Lake homes run the full range, from single-story ranches near Webster to big two-story and waterfront homes on Taylor Lake and in Nassau Bay. Pricing is per foot of roofline plus any trees, windows and extras, so you only pay for what you light. Here is what common homes cost with warm white C9 bulbs:

Warm white C9 bulbs. Your exact price comes from your own photo in the designer.
Example homeLease, year 1Lease, each year afterOwn
One-story ranch, 150 ft of roofline$1,400$980$1,520
Two-story family home: 220 ft roofline, 2 small trees, wreath, 4 shrubs$3,830$2,681$4,193
Large two-story or waterfront home: 340 ft roofline, 2 medium trees, 4 windows, garage$6,140$4,298$6,734
Ranch with a big live oak: 160 ft roofline, large tree, 60 ft of walkway lights$3,920$2,744$4,292

Two-story rooflines are priced at $10/ft instead of $8/ft because they take taller ladders and roughly twice the labor. Trees are priced by height, from $300 for a trunk wrap to $1,900 for a tree over 20 feet. Every price includes commercial-grade lights, design and professional install. See the full price guide.

Neighborhoods we light around Clear Lake

We serve every part of the Clear Lake area. A few neighborhoods we plan for often:

Bay Oaks

Larger homes around Bay Oaks Country Club, with long, multi-level rooflines and mature trees that look stunning wrapped in warm white.

Taylor Lake Village

Waterfront lots along Taylor Lake and Mud Lake. Lights that face the water get seen from boats and across the lake, so we design both sides.

Nassau Bay

Waterfront homes with open exposure to Clear Lake and the bay. We use commercial clips and sealed sockets that hold up to the breeze off the water.

El Lago

A small waterfront city with established homes and big trees. Trunk-and-branch wraps on mature oaks are a favorite here.

Bay Forest & Webster

Family neighborhoods with classic two-story homes where a full roofline, wreath and lit shrubs make the whole street glow.

Seabrook & Kemah

Coastal homes near the water. Permanent lighting is popular here because it stays up all year for every holiday.

Built for the bay

Lighting a home near Clear Lake is different from lighting one in central Houston. Wind off the lake, salt air and Gulf humidity are hard on cheap store-bought strands. That's why we only hang commercial-grade C9 bulbs on heavy-duty wire, and we clip every run so it can't flap loose in a north wind.

  • Commercial-grade LED bulbs that are lit across the whole bulb, not a single bright dot, and rated for outdoor use.
  • Custom-cut runs sized to your roofline, so there are no extra strands bunched up or hanging off the gutter.
  • Free service calls on every lease. If a storm knocks a section loose, we come back and fix it.
  • Permanent track mounted in a low-profile channel under the eave, made for year-round outdoor exposure, with a 2-year installation warranty.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

How much does Christmas light installation cost in Clear Lake?

Most Clear Lake homes land between $1,400 and $3,830 for the first year on a lease. A one-story ranch with 150 feet of roofline is $1,400, and renewal years cost 30% less. Leases start at $600. Upload a photo to the designer to see your exact number.

Do you serve Webster, Nassau Bay, Seabrook and Kemah?

Yes. We install throughout the Clear Lake area, including Webster, Nassau Bay, Taylor Lake Village, El Lago, Seabrook, Kemah and Clear Lake Shores, plus nearby League City and Friendswood.

Should I lease or buy my Christmas lights?

Lease if you want it handled: we install, fix any outage for free all season, take everything down in January and store it labeled for your house, and every renewal year costs 30% less. Own if you'd rather keep the lights and take them down yourself; it costs about 10% more up front. Over five years, leasing a typical one-story ranch costs about $5,320 in total.

Are permanent lights worth it on the water?

They can be. Permanent track stays up all year, so you can light up for Christmas, the Fourth of July, game days and everything in between from your phone. A one-story home with 150 feet of Standard track is about $5,100 installed. It comes with a 2-year installation warranty, and the manufacturer warranties the lights themselves. Learn about permanent lighting.

What happens if a storm damages my lights?

Lease customers get free service calls all season, so we come back out and repair or rehang anything that comes loose. Owned lights can be serviced for a visit fee. Permanent installs are covered by the installation warranty.

Does my HOA allow Christmas lights or permanent lighting?

Most Bay Area HOAs allow seasonal lights during the holidays. Some have rules about permanent fixtures or how long lights can stay up. Check your HOA guidelines before booking permanent lighting, and we can send product details for an architectural review.

Will the lights damage my roof or gutters?

No. Seasonal lights hang on clips that grip your gutters and shingles, so there are no nails, staples or holes. Permanent track is fastened in a low-profile channel tucked under the eave or fascia.

When should I book Christmas light installation?

As early as you can. Seasonal installs start in early November and run until the calendar fills, usually by mid-December, and the best install weeks go first. Permanent lighting installs year-round, so spring and summer are a good time to get it in before the holidays.

Do you offer a discount for first responders, teachers or veterans?

Yes. Our hometown hero discount is 10% off for first responder, nurse, teacher, active-duty military, veteran. Choose your group at checkout and show an ID or proof of service at install.
